Kathy Malm has a lifetime of teaching experience working with students of all ages and experience in a variety of disciplines. Kathy is a certified high school teacher and is able to communicate strategies and techniques to take her students to the next level. She has the unique ability of creating training programs for each individual student based on both the needs of the horse and those of the rider. Kathy’s approach to training allows both the rider and horse to reach their maximum potential while enjoying themselves at the same time.

At Spring Meadow Farm, safety is emphasized in all aspects of the lesson whether leading, grooming or riding.  Students are required to wear an ASTM/SEI approved helmet and boots with at least a 2 inch heel.  A waiver of liability must also be filled out and signed prior to the start of the first lesson.

Spring Meadow Farm offers private or group lessons for children (at least four years of age) through adults. Beginners start off in  private lessons to learn the basic skills, however group lessons are an option once the rider has mastered the basics. Groups usually include two to five riders and are divided by riding ability. Generally, students arrive at least fifteen minutes before their scheduled lesson time to catch, groom, tack and prepare the horse or pony for their lesson. After the lessons students are taught how to properly take care of the horse and tack.

Hi, I am looking for board for one gelding. Very well behaved and a total gentleman in the barn and pasture. Easy keeper. I am a mature woman looking for no drama barn to ride that has trails and a ring. Lessons offered would be great. I do hope to purchase another horse in the future, for my adult daughter to ride as well as my husband , so potential to board 2 horses would be great.
